What time should I arrive and where do I go when I get to the campus?

UOW Open Day will run from 10 am until 3 pm, so there is plenty of time to experience all UOW has to offer.

We recommend arriving 30 minutes before your first information session or tour.

If you are driving, the best parking will be in our Western Carpark (P4).

If you are catching a train, get off at the North Wollongong (NG) train station and head down the stairs of platform one. From there you will be able to catch the free NG Shuttle bus that will take you to our campus (about five minutes). The shuttle bus will drop you at the UOW bus bay on Northfields Avenue.

If you are catching a bus, the bus will drop you at the UOW bus bay on Northfields Avenue.

Follow the signs from the car parks or bus bay to the University Hall, where you can grab your Open Day pack that includes everything you need to make the most of the day.

What will happen at Open Day?

UOW Open Day will be an in-person event at our Wollongong campus on 22 June, and we look forward to seeing you on campus.

UOW Open Day is your chance to discover everything UOW has to offer. You will be able to attend course presentations, meet academics and current students, go on campus tours and check out our accommodation options.

Our eateries and cafes will also be open during the day, so you and your family can take a break, grab some lunch and relax around the duck pond or on the McKinnon lawn.

How long do the sessions and tours last? Do I need to book to attend these?

Sessions will run for 30 to 45 minutes. Our Open Day program will be released closer to the day.

While you don't need to book any sessions or tours, we would appreciate it if you took the time to review our program and plan your day via your Dashboard when the program is released as it will help us manage room capacities.

Planning your day via your Dashboard will create your personalised timetable so you can make the most of your time at Open Day.

Does Open Day only showcase academic programs or will there be information available on all UOW student services?

UOW Open Day has it all covered.

There will be study area booths staffed by course experts in the Expo hall, plus 100+ info sessions throughout the day covering - not only academic programs - but also Early Admission, Scholarships, Accommodation, High Achiever Programs, and our amazing Study Abroad opportunities.

There will also be a ‘UOW Services Zone’ where you can find out about student services such as the Woolyungah Indigenous Centre, Careers Central, Library services, and more.

Don't forget to plan for an accommodation tour, check out a few practical demonstrations, and chill out with the games, music, and food available throughout the day.

I have a disability. Is there anything I need to know about accessing sessions and tours?

At our UOW Wollongong campus, all lecture theatres and classrooms are accessible by ramps and elevators. UOW staff will be available all day if you need help accessing any areas. If you'd like more information, please contact our Student Accessibility and Inclusion team.

I am interested in postgraduate study, will there be someone to speak with about my interests and career goals?

Absolutely. On the day, there will be specialised postgraduate coursework staff ready to listen to your goals and answer any questions you have about undertaking your postgrad study with UOW.

I'm in high school, but not in Year 12 yet. Should I come to UOW Open Day this year or wait until later?

If you're interested in seeing what UOW can offer you after high school there's no need to wait until you're in Year 12 to take a closer look. While some of the information sessions may not apply to you just yet, it’s never too early to get information on your degree options and experience the UOW Wollongong campus.

How do I get to the UOW Wollongong campus?

There are plenty of ways for you to get to our Wollongong campus. We are well serviced by public transport, however, if you drive to Open Day, free parking is available on the day.

For your GPS, our Wollongong campus address is Northfields Avenue, Gwynneville, NSW, 2500.
